Privacy Architecture · Zero Public Boards

Private by default. Always.

Public lost-and-found walls invite scammers, false claimants, and unsolicited calls. MyFinds was built from scratch so no stranger ever sees what you lost until both stories are proven to be the exact same story.

No one can browse a list of lost items.

When you report an item, it goes directly to the matching engine. There is no public bulletin board, no feed, and no search bar for strangers to fish for valuables.

Only the real owner knows the hidden detail.

Every lost report includes a secret detail (like an engraving, a receipt tucked in a pocket, or a scratch on the bottom). The finder is never told what this secret is. They must independently describe what they found before a connection is allowed.

Your phone number stays completely private.

When a score reaches 95%+, a temporary private chat opens inside MyFinds. You can coordinate a meetup at a designated public metro station or bus terminal without ever sharing your phone number, home address, or social accounts.

Chats self-close once the item is returned.

As soon as both sides confirm the handover, the chat room is closed and archived. We keep zero unnecessary logs.
